2019 Adventures

2018 had some good adventures. I got to go to London for a weekend, moved back to the US from Scotland, and then went to Cozumel, Mexico for a wedding. All in all, a pretty adventurous year for me.

This year, I hope that I get to go on more adventures and see more places. I feel like I didn’t take full advantage of living in Europe last year. Travelling to different places is so easy when living in Europe. You can find cheap flights for as low as 20 GPB. Plus, travelling in Europe doesn’t require you to take off weeks from work or school. You can easily travel in a short amount of time, which means you can travel on weekends if you have a busy schedule.

This coming September, I am moving back to Scotland for law school, and I plan on taking full advantage of my location this time around!

These are the adventures I already have planned for the 2019 year:

February, 2019: Glasgow, Scotland

Okay, so I am a bit homesick! Plus my wonderful boyfriend lives in Glasgow, so I am going to go visit him for his birthday, so Scotland is the first place I am going to. Glasgow is by far my favourite city, it has a disheveled elegance that makes it unique. Plus, the university is what inspired Hogwarts. Which brings me to this; if you love Harry Potter, Scotland is the place to go.

August, 2019: Amsterdam

I think Amsterdam is one of this trips in 2019 I am most excited for. I have never been to Amsterdam, well that’s a lie, I have been to the airport.

This trip will be one of the longer ones. I will be exploring Amsterdam for 6 days at the end of August into September. Fall is one of my favourite seasons. From what I hear, Amsterdam in the fall is lovely and colourful! I cannot wait to see what Amsterdam has to offer!

October, 2019: Paris, France

Paris. Iconic, romantic, and of course, one of the biggest places in the world for fashion.

I have been to Paris a few years back, but I was literally there for a day and a half, which made it hard to really explore it as much as I would have liked. I am excited to see the beautiful old buildings, eat the wonderful food, and enjoy some amazing shopping. Not to mention, I am trying to teach myself French, so I am excited to use some of what I have learned too.

Check Back in for Updates

Be sure to follow me and keep a look out for posts following my adventures. I will be pre-departure posts which will include packing lists, itineraries and more. Plus, I will post all about each of my adventures in detail. Is there anything you all want to see from my adventures?

What adventures are you planning this year?

  1. Wow! It sounds like a wonderful year! You are so lucky to study in Scotland! Have you been out to the Lake District? You should take the ferry over to Dublin, if you haven’t yet. And there are so many amazing day trips from Dublin, like Glendalough and the Giant’s Causeway. I hope you have a marvelous time!

  2. It looks like you have a fun year of adventures planned this year. I am hoping to take a trip to Salt Lake City, Utah this year and if I am lucky I will be making a trip to Europe.

  3. Amsterdam and France are two of my favorite places 🙂 I hope you’ll have a wonderful time. Actually, Scotland is on my list, too! Besides a trip to Mexico, we’re staying in the states this year.
